ANN MARIE FAVOT

              DESIGN

About

A seasoned designer with a love for simplicity and clean lines, Ann Marie Favot always knew she wanted to tell stories through pictures. As the daughter of
an architect, she embraced creativity and design from a Young age, building and decorating Barbie Doll houses in her father's workshop while he worked on his models at her side. After obtaining a degree in fine arts from The University of Western Ontario, Ann Marie began her career working in product development for Caban (Club Monaco's home store). At the same time, she studied interior design
at Ryerson University. At Caban, she quickly honed her skills in furniture design and home accessories, and then made a jump into publishing when she became the design editor
for Canadian Home and Country magazine.

Over the next 15 years, Ann Marie would take the helm of the design departments at not only Canadian Home and Country, but Canadian Gardening, Style at Home and Canadian Living magazines as well. In this leadership role she translated trends in the world of home decorating and design in order to communicate them to readers across Canada. Through interiors, produced stories, food features and brand extensions, Ann Marie has proven her expertise in conveying the exclusive tenets of the realm of design into attainable, inviting and liveable concepts.

In 2020 Ann Marie ventured out on her own with an eponymous design and styling business for advertising, editorial and private clients. Based in Toronto, Ann Marie lives with her daughter who, judging by how many times she has rearranged her bedroom, promises to follow in her mother's footsteps.
